Cee Jay Frederick Associates’ involvement in shopping center projects has been both large and small in scale, requiring anything from the application of a single professional discipline—e.g. the preparation of only landscape plans for a given center—to the provision of a full range of services including the attainment of zoning approvals and entitlements, the performance of land and site planning, and architectural and landscape design.  Complete architectural services have been primarily provided relative to smaller centers, although these were often among the more complex in nature.  On the other hand, architectural design relative to regional shopping centers/malls has often been most extensive and detailed in nature, particularly when the application of the planning and/or design services addressed projects concerned with rehabilitation, renovation, and expansion.  In all cases, a modern interpretation of, and response to, site and environmental criteria spawned a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution intended to maximize the potential of the retail experience.
